Default Tire Alignment

My 08 GS has 1400 miles on it. Drives to the right. Need an alignment. Lexus is charging me almost 80 bucks. This type of stuff isn't covered by the warranty with a car so new? Any other suggestions on who I can get to have this done. I have a hook up but dont really trust them. I live in the Miami area. Thanks.

yes not covered by warranty, sometimes it can actually be the tires causing the car drift to a particular sided.

Default That is a crock of crap...

I would make my dealer fix it. They should cover EVERYTHING under warranty except normal wear and tear and that isn't normal by any stretch of the imagination... Just my IMO.

I was under the impression that dealer will do alignment for the first year at no charge.

HOLD UP:

There is a 12 month 12,000 mile "adjustment" warranty. this covers all this alignment etc for a maximum of one time to correct any thing that got out of tolerance during shipping or was not set right at the factory. DO NOT pay for an alignment for a vehicle with 1400 miles on it.

Regardless of what the warranty covers or doesn't cover, any good dealer should fix any problem within the first few thousand miles. It's just unspoken courtesy that they extend. Somoene a--hole took off the little plastic covers on the rear bumper. Dealer color-coated new ones and put them on as a courtesy. I suggest you go to the "concierge / customer satisfaction" person at the dealer rather than service and demand that the problem be fixed. . . .

Good luck.

I had the same problem. My car was pulling to the left and I only had about 2000 miles on it. I took it in to a dealer for alignment. They aligned for free plus a loner car a day. The service lady told me it was covered under warranty. Both of the front toes were off by significant amount. Hope this helps.

With less than 2000 miles on it, your car should have been aligned properly upon delivery. I would NOT pay for this service. This should definitely be something they should cover. If the service department refuses to pay for this, go and talk to your sales rep. This worked for me.
