I dont think the kit is worth the money they are asking. It is alittle pricey for the cosmetic improvement it makes.

I also do not think they are worth the money, just because they are JDM that makes them so much more then the others......

I agree on the price issue.

Also, I dont see how they can claim that it will fit a 2008 with the grille and bumber changes. Not to mention now that we have seen an 08 JDM kit that has a much more aggressive style than this one.

 

Guys, not to defend the vendor but, these are oem parts that come pre-painted, have no fitment issues and are covered under warranty. True it may be too subtle for some, but it is a good value if you want to stay oem. That said, I personally don't care for the package, but would pick up the front lip in a heartbeat especially if offered in a GB or special (hint, hint).

but yes, come pre-painted, abs (i believe), i think that's ok price. not too bad. go and look at any jdm body kits (front, sides, rear) and with good quality paint, what the price is going to be.

just to be clear, i don't care about the oem lip kits as well. but at the same time i don't see it as overpriced

 

anyone know why the heck all lexus parts come pre-painted? how in the world are they going to match the paint on your car?

i've never heard any car manufacturer that does this?

 

actually, i believe if you get the oem body kits (nismo) for nissan/infiniti from japan, they also come painted

i also question the paint matching problem as well, no one seem to be able to answer. especially with the bumper (plastic), it's very hard to match color. for colors like black, it's easier. but those with pearl, it should be very hard to match

 

Not sure how Lexus does it, but it works. All front/trunk lip spoilers are port installed, so they're not sprayed at the same time as the body, yet they seem to match perfectly. I bought the oem trunk spoiler & front air dam AM for my 2IS (matador red mica) and those matched perfectly to the body as well. Lexus seems to know how to match the paint...

 

Don't get me started, thats a topic for another thread. But if the paint chips or peels or if the seams crack or split (assuming no foul play here), I'm sure Darrell will replace it under warranty. . .
