Default HEADLIGHT ADJUSTMENT. wHERE DID YOU GUYS PUT THE BUBBLE?????

I had my lexus dealership adjust the headlights. I told them to put the bubble towards the top of the leveler. I was going off what a read on the forum. Was not 100% sure if I was correct. If you have had your adjusted can you please tell me where to put the bubble on the elveler. Pleare be as descriptive as possible. Thanks alot guys. I am going to pick up my car tommorrow. So if its off I can still have hime readjust the lights before I get there

I put mine right in the middle of the 2 lines, but my lights still seem low. I have to get around to adjusting them again.

I had the dealership do it for me. If they tell you its in spec, tell them that this is a do it yourself adjustment that has directions in the manual and they should be able to do that for you. Its not something for them to tell you no. My guy told me that its in spec. But I called him the next day after they told me the lights are in spec and are not adjustable and told him the direction how to do it is on pg 430 of the 07 GS350 manual

After they did the adjustment, where is the bubble located on yours?

my dealer said the same thing. 'in spec, sorry'. so i did it my self. bubble is just under the uppper line but i didnt use the bubble as a guide it just turned out to be that way. i used the shine the lights on wall and raise the line method posted elsewhere. it's a lot better.

I got my bubble on the top notch too. I find that even at the top notch, the highlights are barely acceptable. The instruction on the mannual are very confusing. I was able to do it thanks to this forum and all its great write up.

Are high beams and low beams linked to the same adjuster? When you make the upward adjustment does it also move the high beams higher?

The adjusters and the indicators for the adjustment are separate for low and high beams.

On the adjustment gauge, there is a center section that is the same size as the bubble. IIRC, the first time I went in to adjust the lights, the bubble was centered in that section, and I moved in two bars toward the front (i.e., higher). Since I couldn't remember where I'd set it, and went back yesterday to look and since I already have the covers off moved it two more bars toward the front, for a total of four.

And somehow I managed to drop and lose two of the engine cover clips ...

Thanks larrs !! The high beams are great, I'm glad they won't be effected when I mess around with the low beam adjuster.
