I noticed that someone is selling a 7.1 Nav Disk upgrade disk with the motion overide disabled ? Sounds fishy but if it really works, it would be the solution that we are all looking for...

I think it's a home made hybrid dvd that combines the menu function from dvd v5 with the maps of v7. V5 has a hidden menu that allows the system to be unlocked while driving. That hidden menu was removed from later dvd versions. The homemade hybrid approach doesn't work for Gen4 systems (nor does the ebay listing say it does) but some posters to other threads here say they got it to work for Gen5 systems. If that's what this guy is selling, it's bootleg software IMO.

If you already own 7.1 you can buy a legit copy of 5.1 for about $50 and burn the combo yourself. legitimately.
