This morning I got a light hit from the back, stupid guy dont know how to do a complete stop ...Noticed a small convex bump , never notices that before, just wondering is that a normal feature on the back bumper??

don't really know what you mean and where it is. but if it doesn't feel right, it probably isn't. bumper should be pretty smooth across

No it's not normal. While at the dealership, check out the rear bumper of another 3GS to compare. I say the moron that hit you caused some damage...

Sorry to tell you this, but it's probably the imprint left when the bumper shell compressed against the actually hard bumper bar inside. I have a horizontal, slightly convex one on my rear bumper also. Noticed it after my wife drove it to the shopping mall.

Thanks, you guys..I went ahead n made a claim on his insurance,,man only had this car for 4months..hopefully lexus dealership can fix it like new..
