Default exhaust sound enhancement...?

Thanks in advance,

Was wondering how to make my exhuast sound just a tiny bit louder/meaner when starting the car or while it is resting in idle...think m3 or m5.

At the same time I do not want the car to sound like a tricked out ride that I would not want a client or customer to experience....

Just a little bit louder...

Any advice would be great as I have no clue...

N

hmm.....if you are welling to change your exhaust you should get the Tanabe exhaust they are not overly loud at all and they look a lot more aggressive then the OEM one for sure....^^

you have to change the exhaust, lexus mufflers are way too restrictive to get any sound out of that thing.

Remember, people expect absolute silence with Lexus (at least on CL)

or drill holes in the exhaust

you can have an exhaust shop remove your center mufflers/resonators and leave the rear mufflers alone. that way it looks stock but sounds a bit louder.

For what you are asking for, the Tanabe Touring Medallion for the 3GS would be a perfect fit for you.

I dont know where you're looking but I see many that want to hear the meaty tones of the V8s. Maybe not so much for the 6cyl.

It's tough to get good sound from a DIG 6 cylinder engine, no matter what you do. Louder is easy.

That's a bit too high. You shouldn't pay more than $900 for the exhaust and installation itself. If anything you can install the exhaust yourself easily if you're looking to save a few bucks.

I have the tanabe medallion system wich is only axle back so its really quiet. I was concerned with noise especially on this type of a car. I paid 818 for the exhaust and install. And I had it installed and purchased it from a local lexus dealership.
