Default Someone Help, Windshield Scartches!?!?!

I used a sponge on the windshield I wasn't supposed to and now I have scratches/swirls all over my windshield. What polish or product may I use to get these scratches out?

Did that sponge have sand or grid on it? Try a glass polish to remove the scratches/swirls.

Regular dish washing sponge. I used the rough side though. I'm guessing the dirt that i was trying to take off scratched the rest of the windshield.

I put a few scratches on my windshield with a squeegee last year. Lexus just happens to have soft glass. I haven't tried a glass polish yet.

You have scratched Lexus's infamous "rain-repellent" filmed windshield!!!

You are pretty much SOL on trying to remove the scratch, unless Lexus dealer has something that can repair it.

Best of luck!!!

I took my car to a car wash a week ago and there was some adhesive left on the windshield. When I took it home I tried to remove the crap with a terry cloth towel and some pressure and now I have freakn scratches all over my windshield as well. I dont care what anyone says this is BS. I have owned 6 cars in my life and have never seen anything like this. I didnt do anything special to it. I am going to complain like a SOB when I take it in and demand that they change the windshield. They should not scratch that easily. They should be more durable. I had the car 6 months and the windshield is already scratched. Soft glass my ***, they need to fix this

All Lexus windshields are like that. I got scratches on my last Lexus from cleaning off bird crap.
