I would say the rattles is a lesser problem in the warmer climate, not a non problem. Before my dealer fixed the lower windshield/dash rattles, I try sticking a cloth between the dash and the windshield and it didnt make any difference. I still get the slight ticking noise from the upper windshield clips and it happens in all temp range. The problem is that the ticking noise doesnt show up until driving for an hour. I havent bought it up to the dealer's attension yet because I already know what they are going to say

Thanks for the comments. I want to buy a GS 350 since I love everything about the car except the possibility of getting one with this problem. Seems like it would be hard to isolate during a short test drive so it's a tough call.

Go back to the Audi and wait for the maintenance problems I'll take my GS350 any day. I've had the problems from Germany in many years past. It's all about image I guess?

I'm with DaveJ, I'll pamper a loaner, but, I'll drive the 7734 out of my own. Sorry to hear of your trouble as I own a rattle free 06 GS300. I live in FL and frequent GA in the winter. Never a rattle. I'll say from experience, some Lexus service staff are more obliging than others. Most of my service/recall issues are settled in Roswell, GA due to their outstanding capability to resolve the problem at large. With a loaner to boot. Not so great in S. FL. though. Bottom Line: Not all Service Staff and Loaner drivers are the same.
