Radar Detector Mount
I searched for links on radar installs for our vehicle, but couldn't find any except in the IS forum. I just ordered one of these to install in our GS http://www.countryjoycrafts.com/350Z/valentinemount.htm. I currently have one installed in my Z and I really like it. I'm going w/ this route since I only have one V1 to go around for our cars and my family carpools during the week anyway (baby is in daycare everyday). I'll post install notes along w/ pictures when I'm done, pending on our son's mood and demands during the weekend

I used a ballast bracket from an HID kit and it worked out great. since you could still see the detector from the outside, i had a tint strip installed at the top and you can't see it anymore. looks great.

I have, for several years and on several cars, used the suction mount bracket without the suction cups and bought some rearview mirror glue that works on glass and glued the bracket on the windshield as close to the top of the windshield as I could get it. they have never come loose and then hard wired the unit to the ignition on wire so the detector comes on when I turn on the key. Works great and the only time I have to reglue it is when I have a winshield replaced due to rock chips. Try it you'll like it.And it's not visible from the outside if you have a tinted upper part of your windshield. Central Oregon.
