sounds good to me...how much more do you think you can save? or trying to? it gets to the point what's a couple of hundred dollars difference. if they have the combo white/black at that price.. just go for it.

The dealers tack on all sorts of accessories to bump the price up.

Hi,
I see that you're in California, so aiming for invoice shouldn't be hard. The price you were quoted for $46263.00, is invoice. What others are failing to notice is that your car has XM in it, boosting up the invoice price $389. Things to consider is that invoice price is the Edmunds/KBB price plus TDA, which is an advertising fee. What's unsual is that on my 08GS360 RWD, I was charged a TDA of $552, you're getting charged $662, so an extra $110. The only difference between your car and mine is that mine didn't come with XM. I actually had the OEM Sirius installed by the dealership already installed which I paid $299 for, but the OEM Sirius is not on the sticker like XM, it's considered an aftermarket install. The $110 difference could be an area fee because I'm in SoCal and you may be in NorCal or maybe it went up since December when I bought my car. Either way, that car for $46263.00 is a great deal and if that $110 increase in the TDA is legit, you're getting invoice price on the car. Maybe you can squeeze them for below invoice, I don't know.... but that price is one of the best I've seen posted and that's what I paid, invoice for my car. So if they have the specific color and options you want, I'd jump on it now.

Just remember to not get taken on other parts of the deal. If you are leasing the current March Money Factor is 0.00150 and residuals are 12K/50% and 15K/48%. Remember the $600 acquisition fee. If you're buying a good rate can be had from PenFed for 4.99% 36-60.

Here's a copy of my invoice from an old email I got from my salesman.

I just paid almost the same for mine, except I got AWD and not the 18's. I think that is a really good price and I would make the leap knowing you bargained all the way down!

Great job! Enjoy the drive, I know I do!

Could you guys who are getting close to invoice please post up the dealer name or PM me. Our local dealer is selling Lexus at a record pace for them actually so they have zero desire to wheel and deal, and I am halfway thinking of getting my wife a new GS350AWD if I can get a decent deal on one.

Thanks!

Here's my .02. IMHO, your 'invoice cost' is really 45,160 (base cost + acces costs + dest + holdback) I'm sure the TDA and whsl reserve are real, but what about the volume and goal bonus each dealer gets for meeting sales quotas (which no salesman talks about). Push for 45,160 and settle for something in b/w 45,160 & 46,263. Given the less than stellar GS sales, the current economy and strong yen, the dealership would be foolish not to sell you that car for around 45,700ish . . . Good luck.

Could you PM me the dealer name and your salesman? I may fly out and buy one if they have the color/options I want.

Thanks!

I bought my 08 GS350. fully loaded with illuminated door sills back in Dec 2007. OTD price was $50,250. I got the dealer to throw in free all weather mats and Lo-Jack anti theft system. MSRP price on the car was $51,915.

After a month later i received a reimburshment check of $750 from Lexus corp. because i attented couple of taste of lexus events in that year.

So total price i pay for my car is $49,500 otd

Keep in mind i bought my car when they have the december to remember event. Nowadays with the dollar value goin down and economy so bad. I think you can bargain for a better deal. BTW i got my car from Longo Lexus in El Monte.

Tommy-

What was the price on the actual car (without the tax, tags, etc. added in). I won't have to pay sales tax at all as I will have about $70000 in sales tax credit from selling other cars (in Missouri you can take the value of the vehicles you traded in/sold at the same time and just pay sales tax on the difference of the vehicles prices).

Thanks!

^ Contact Longo's Internet sales manager and see if you can get a quote via email. Then take that quote and have your local dealer either match it or beat it. CA doesn't do sales tax credits, so it would be a red tape nightmare for you to fly down and buy a car in CA if you live in MO. If your local dealer will come w/in $500 of Longo's best quote, pull the trigger...
