Wet rear carpet!
I had noticed that the rear passenger carpets were damp in my GS when I was cleaning the car about two weeks ago. I just figured my wife spilt her water back there or something. I then kept the floor mats out to let the carpet dry. I put them back after I felt the carpet was dry again. We then had some rain today and something told me to go and check under the rear floor mats to see if the carpet was wet again and what do you know, the carpet is drenched! Does anybody know what could be causing this? Is there a drain system that might be clogged, and if so, where is it located? Thanks for the help in advance.

Can you say--- "bad sunroof seals"? Water leaks in, builds up in the channel tracks, then leaks spontaneously or else the first time you start accelerating forward or begin braking. Otherwise, dry it out, have the wifey hose the roof while you sit in the backseat for a few minutes and see what happens.

Check your underbody body plugs. They look like dime to half-dollar sized rubber plugs--if missing, you'll see an open hole in your unibody on the floorpan of the car. You'll have to take a look underneath your car with a flashlight. Your door seals may also be faulty--just something else to check. Good luck.

Yep, still having the same problem. Turns out it is actually the AC not draining properly. I took it into the dealership and told them what I thought it was and they confirmed it. They also told me that there is a service bulletin out on the isssue so your local Lexus dealer probably already knows about it. I am taking it back in this week because they are going to replace all of the carpet inside the vehicle. Hopefully, I will have the car smelling like new again!

One of the reasons lexus feel off this year was bad seals that cause water leaks in the 3GS. Damn man I heard it was a prob but never actually heard it from a member. Take it in and raise hell. They should replace carpeting as well as the seals. Good luck. Im sure if you complain to lexus directly they will be aware of the prob
