07 GS350 for 08 ES350??? ADVICE NEEDED!
Advice needed.....
Had an issue with my 2007 Lexus GS350 involving the horrible sound it makes when you have the rear windows down and the front windows up (try cruising at about 60mph with the rear windows down and the front windows and sunroof closed, sound is horrible). I had a meeting with my lexus dealership today and they offered me an even trade for my 07 GS350. The trade was a 2008 Lexus ES350 fully loaded with navigation, bluetooth, rear backup camera, etc... My 07 GS doesnt have navigation or any other major options. I'm trying to see if this is a good trade for me. Please post feedback asap. I have to make a decision by 3/28

the horrible sound, is that from the wind/air? if so, it is due to aerodynamic i believe, it happens in a lot of lexus as far as i know (my gs400 and is300 both the same). try to give a little crack to the front windows, maybe that solves the problem
es350 is a totally different car. i don't know what you are looking for in yours, but i would never ever trade my gs for the es.

Amazing they offer that for you based on the sound, if you like the look of the ES go for it.....that is a sweet offer if you like an ES, I suspect the es may have a similar noise though...

I wouldn't do it. That IMHO is a downgrade. Plus, while there is still much debate, I personally don't believe the tranny flair issue and tranny problems in general in the ES350 are solved. I personally wouldn't touch any Toyota/Lexus using that particular tranny until I knew 100% it was solved and fixed.

Yeah, they informed me to crack my windows but i told them i wasnt happy with the sound.. I test drove the LS and the ES as well as the GS, and they all do it.. The ES isn't as loud as the others

Definitely not... There really wasn't much to negotiate. I am not happy with a product I bought from them. At first they wanted me to go to the "manufacturer" but I wasn't willing to do that either. At first they wanted me to come out of my pocket 2000 to make the trade but I got it done without having to pay a dime, I also got the Billet Grille as well..

dude, that sound waves feeling noise happen on EVERY SINGLE VEHICLE, simply crack open the front window will eliminate that.
why you want to drive with just the rear window down is beyond me, just open any of the front or moon roof, problem gone.
and to change from GS to ES, that's like THE worse decision ever?

Think of it like this....the ES is a souped up Camry....would you trade your GS for a Camry? I wouldn't...in fact, besides a 750 or S550, there are not many cars I would trade my GS for.

I had the opportunity to drive ES350 as a loaner for 3 days while my GS was in for dash TSIB. Let me tell you, the ES is a totally different car. Maybe if you are a senior citizen it may be for you. The GS is supreme over ES in terms of handling/power/luxury. Big mistake if you downtrade.
