MAF Sensor Location & Cleaning Help
Could anyone explain exactly where the MAF Sensor is located (Pics would be really appreciated)? Also what would be the proper way of cleaning it?
Thanks

you know where your air filter is right? it's in a black box. attached to that black box is a black tube which goes to the throttle body. in that black tube is your maf. it has an electrical plug on it. i believe the maf in your car is held in by two screws with a torx head; so you'll need the proper size torx bit. it may even be a security torx, so you'll need the right one. security torx bolts have small protrusion right in the middle of the torx fitting; there are torx bits/drivers made for it.
remove maf carefully, there's an o ring that seals it. buy maf cleaner from bumper to bumper or other high quality parts store. some parts stores don't carrry it, so you may have to shop around.
follow instructions on can of cleaner.
lube o ring with some spit before you stick it back in the hole so you don't tear the o ring.
