Motorized Mirrors Not In Sync
Anyone else have this problem? It seems that now, when I power fold my mirrors in or out, the don't fully open or close at the exact same time. One folds out (or folds in) a tad faster then the other. It is ever so slight and you really have to be paying attention to it to notice.

lol life is too short to worry about that
though i have to confess, same thing happened to the rear side shades on my ls460l, initially they were sync up but after a while one side became faster. i just ignored it, otherwise i will die soon

Yes you can fold manually without damaging but I would always prefer to allow it to move with the motor. And yes, mine are out of sync too but so are my windows, I can live with all of that. I am not sure how many cars' mirrors or windows are in sync (or how long they would stay in sync). I am sure it would be a major service issue.

I didn't check, but I'm guessing that the passenger side mirror is actually closer to the car than is the driver side mirror. It has to be angled in more for you to see it. So it has less distance to move when closing. Look down at the mirror housing and note the angle in relation to the side of the car ... I don't think they're even.

But as said above, life is too short. Once one or both stop folding, then I have a problem.

My problem is when I unfold the mirrors, they are not consistent with how they go up and down.(You know when you go in reverse they lower to view.) It's something I've tried not to let bother me. But the hassle of adjusting my mirrors is becoming a nuisance. Probably set an appt. for the mirrors and the rattles by my sunroof(window clips??). Maybe the dealership will say they're faulty and replace the mirrors...then I'll ask if they can drop in the '08 directionals for the difference.

and even with the tilt, what's wrong with it? you can control it to tilt or not, and when you put it back to D, it goes back to original position anyway (unless defective)
