Default In The Market for an '06 GS300

Hey everyone -- it's been a while since I've been back here I'm in the market for an '06 GS300 and was wondering if there's anything I should look for when finding the right car. Are there any issues or anything worth mentioning?

Thanks!

Looking to upgrade Brendan?
The main complaints so far are dusty brake pads and dash squeeks. Both can be corrected by the dealer.

Hey KayGee! Yeah, my car's in the 170k range and I think it's about time for me to upgrade. Also, I'm moving to Atlanta next month btw.

Actually the 06 gs300 did not have any brake pad issues. Squeaks, fuel line recall on some early cars and that is about it...go for an 07 gs350 if you can afford it...

Yeah, unless ther current GS is having issues & needs to be replaced quick, I agree getting or waiting a little longer to get a GS350 is a better idea.

Well, I guess all of you have pretty much convinced me to fork up the extra money for a 350

Yeah 350 is the way to go. I test drove a used 300 and a 08 350, quite a diff.

So, now I must ask -- is there anything that I should look for when going for an '07 350?

Rattles, starting problem and brake dust. All fixable problems.

I was in the same dilema a month ago but went with the GS300 cause of the price and fuel economy. I got a 26k mile Silver/Black GS300 with Navi/ML with extended 100k/7yr warrenty for $33k. GS350 runs for 38 to 40k depending on options. Granted I will miss the power and upgraded Navi but with my daily traffic commute I wont notice the difference! Hope that helps....

btw, no mp3 freakin sucks!

Hello VAIS =)

Hello VAIS =)
The MP3 feature isn't much of a factor for me since I'll most likely go the VAIS route as well. Although, If I can't find a 350 for around 36k, then I'll have to go for the 300. Decisions, decisions...

I'm selling mine if you're interested: 2006 GS300, 36,600 miles, Mark Levinson, Nav, Park Assis, Heated/Ventilated seats, black interior.

I may sell it with or without the wheels and with or without the springs, depending on how much you want to pay for it. this is the car:

Looking to get around $32k or so...more...or less....
