I've had my black berber mats for over a year now, and they have held up really great - still look nearly new after a good vacuum! Had to look back a bit to find the pics I took of the mats & custom pedals.... it's here https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=255448

Hi,
There were some posts in the past about the Lexus all weather mats developing a hole and wearing out quickly. Well, I had my mats since January of this year and there are showing a lot of wear, obviously where the pedal is and on the passenger side where passengers put their foot. The rubber is very soft. I've had hexomats, do a search on google, which catch water for 2 years in my Prius and they were never close to showing any wear. My wife has exact mats, which are the clear ones, but don't catch water but no wear on those. I expect my mats to last maybe another 2 years before a hole forms. So be warned.

Quick question, how can you put a hole through all-weather rubber mats???
Do you grind the mats while you drive, because I have mine since December 2006 and mine still look new.
I guess everyone has different way of step on the gas padel while driving.

Well, it could primarily be my dress shoes i wear too with a thick heel. even when i had the oem carpet mats in my gs400 i always had a spot that was worn out from my heel. the weather mat is not that thick so it just wears out the same...could be angle that I sit and the fact that i am 6'3 and have fairly long legs...who knows i say just cheap materials
