Hi guyz

iam fahad from kuwait ( middle east )

iam planning to buy GS430 in the next month but iam confused betwwen choosing 2008 model or wait till NOV of this year to get 2009 model

my question is , what are the new changes that will be implemented on the GS430 2009 and how differ it will be from 2008 ?
( there are romurs that the dealer in my country will change Gs430 to GS460 but nothing is sure )

will it be a big change like the change happened from model 2006 to 2007 in changing themse and putting DVD ?

i`d like to tell you guyz my priorities to give u a good idea about what i need

1- first i think most about the luxury of the car , and for sure GS430 has it
2- i think about soft driving , which lexus has it too !! its good to mention that my recent car is caprise LS 2004
3- last thing i think of is the speed coz i dont like the speed too much !!

so if i will get mainly the same first and second point in 2009 model i will be happy !!

and if there is any new changes in 2009 GS i think i can apply it to 2008 model by going to the dealer

so guyz can u help me in choosing between them ?!!

Hello the major change you may anticipate is the engine, otherwise 08s in the USA had a minor facelift. If your 08 has turn signal blinkers on the outside of the mirrors, then you have the facelift already. The gs460 will have 50 more horsepower and 8 speed trans.

Welcome to Clublexus. Both are fast, the GS 460 will be slightly faster.
GS 430 0-60 in 5.7
GS 460 o-60 in 5.5

GS 460 has some upgrades over the 430.

This thread is all about the 07 vs 08 difference. 09 in America will have minimal changes, maybe a new color. Seems like you are getting the updates we got for 2008. Please also use the SEARCH feature.

you are right , we have here GS300 AND GS430
the dealer said that he will bring GS350 to be instead of GS300

but dunno about GS430 if it will change but the main thingy that it will remain the same

since u mentioned it
GS350 is faster than GS430 ??

Hi! According to Lexus website, the 460 0-60 is 5.4 and the 350 RWD 0-60 is 5.7 (the AWD being a bit slower at 5.8). If you're not as interested in speed, you might be more interested in the 350 than the 460. The hybrid is even a bit faster at 5.2. The 460 does have extras though like the standard AVS, standard vent. front seats, and standard adaptive front lighting system, for example. But, I think you can get most of the luxury related extras in the ML/Nav package on the 350 and still spend less money.

GS300 in my country cost about 59,000 $
GS430 cost about 63,295 $

so if the dealer will bring the GS350 of course it will cost about 61,000-62,000 $

so no big difference will be in prices
