I got mine in about 7 working days. The problem I had with the shield is that you can tell its there. Are you going to use the spary on top of the shield or take off the shield all together?

to my eye the shield is invisible. I think i got lucky on the install but maybe i'm just not picky enough but it's just as prone to finger prints as the screen itself i think. i'm going to try the spray as is first. will think about taking off the protector after i try that.

yes that's the bottle my clear bra installer gives to clean/protect the clearbra, but the smell is too strong to be used inside the car IMO.

Well, I finally got my 1st finger print. This stuff lasted about 1 week and a half with heavy use on the screen. Not too bad considering I was cleaning the nav screen twice a week before.

There are numbers of these products out there, Plexus, I-clean, Monster and monitor lizard to name a few. They will all clean protect and leave a film of anti-static and anti fingerprint coating on the screen. The reason I like the X-clean is that its all natural, 100% safe for any screen and no smell what so ever.

Has anyone tried Pledge? For me it works great.. apply and wipe away excess with a CLEAN microfiber cloth.. Problem solved! Works great on pretty much everything from computer screens, LCDs, plasma TV and even the wood or plastic trim in the car - also prevents fingerprints pretty well on the NAV screen.

How long have you been using Pledge. I am looking at the MSDS sheet, its full of solvents. I wonder how safe it is in the long run. I know on some screens, they state do not use any solvent to clean.

I use a product called Screen Kleen. I got it with my LCD HDTV. It works great for all LCD monitors. It came with a nice Microfiber Cloth.

While I certainly don't use pledge everytime I clean the car, which is often, I think an occasional wipe down won't hurt, especially when there is alot of build up (fingerprints and other). Pledge also contains synthetic oils which help to prevent build up on the surfaces it is used on and in most cases 'buffer' any solvents it contains. I certainly wouldn't reccomend using rubbing alcohol or a thinner but a small amount of pledge on a microfiber should be just fine.

+1 on the X Clean. Good stuff, thanks for the tip.

Plexus is fairly common at motorcycle shops. For cleaning visors and windscreens.

Have anyone try to use X-clean on the gauge cluster lenses yet, I know those lenses are super sensitive to a lot of cleaning detergents.
