Doubt they will pull a fast one...if they do and you have it in writing, even more leverage for you if they try to get you to accept a different package or color.

I got mine for $45,500 everything except ML (pre tax and title)....same color combo...beautiful but beware it is a job to keep clean.

Default scam?

Hi,
I got a similiar deal, but the dealer wants us to leave check(with balance) since they need to find the color and options we wanted. Ive never left a check after i put a deposit down and signed the purchase agreement. Do you think theyre trying to purchase this car from another dealer? It doesnt sound kosher. We're going to meet with them tonite to see whats up.

My dealer took my $1,000 deposit, and is now securing the color that I asked for.

I told him I won't do anymore paperwork until he's got the color I want secured with a firm delivery date, and at that point we can talk signatures and checks....

I personally wouldn't feel comfortable writing a $46,000 check for a promise of a car.... once they have that check, their motivation to work hard to get it in house probably diminishes substantially....

Default New GS owners needs XM info

The SAT button is not active in my new GS that I bought off the showroom floor but I would like to get XM through the nav system screen. Can they add this option after purchase? Also, what's the best iPod integration that people have experienced? Is the LexPod a good option? Thanks for the help.

Default scam

So we talked to the dealer, and they want us to pay for the vehicle before we've even seen the car. They claim they do this end of month special deal where you have to pay for the whole car before delivery. We've signed a purchase agreement (No vin, no delivery date) and they claim they do these end of month deals with all their customers. Well, I'm not paying for a car I haven't seen. We will probably walk away.

That sounds like a special deal for the dealership, alright! I wouldn't walk away, I'd run from that sort of "special deal"...

Henry, your dealer is trying to log your sales onto this month's sales numbers to meet certain goals or to get a sales bouns from Lexus. Personally, I always test drive the exact same car I am buying before I sign the papers. That way, there will be no surprise or unfixable problems. Which dealer did you go to, they dont sound like a dealer I would like to do business with.

Yes, we walked away. The Dealer was The Lexus Dealer in Sharon. Be warned.

I went to that dealer before they moved to Sharon, it was one of the worst experience I ever had. They kept me waiting even though I had a appointment with the internet manager and talk down to me and proceed to explain to me how the luxury car market works, even after he realized I drove up in another Lexus

I gotta tell you, I've heard people complain here about Lexus of Watertown, but so far they've been excellent. Polite, eager to please, etc.

And, furthermore, I'm only 29, and I probably look a bit younger -- and that usually gets me below average, rather than above average, treatment.

Thus far, I'd recommend Lexus of Watertown. Of course, I don't even have my car yet.... :-)
