Wheels studs are too short! What to do?
I sold my wheels which were on my '06 GS300, and was told that they would fit on all 3rd gen GS. The person I sold them to told me that the studs were too short and the lugs couldn't screw on. Is there a difference with that between the 06 and 07??
I told him to get longer studs, but I was wondering if he could just get 06 studs.
Regardless, where can he get some studs to make the wheels bolt on?
Thanks for the help!

It appears that longer studs aren't that big of a deal to obtain. Apparently there is a difference in the 2006 GS300 and 2007 GS350. The caliper clearance is perfect as well as the offset. Everything is perfect except the stud length. My wife is giving me such a hard time, I may have to put them up for sale just to keep peace at home. I'll be sure to inform any potential buyers that longer studs may be needed.

I didn't tell her at first. When she came home and saw these big boxes in the living room I had no choice but to explain what happened and what the problems were. I was hoping that this would be as straight forward as possible. How hard could it be to bolt on another set of wheels? Or so I thought.

Yes, take some pictures or something. I can't see how the wheels wouldn't bolt up. Like I said, the only thing that came to mind was the wheel offset/face type. GS350, having bigger brakes than the 300, causing the calipers to touch the spokes or something. Though, you said that wasn't the case.

My guess and this is only a guess is the 06 rims may be hitting the front calipers on the 07 GS350. If I'm not mistaken, the 07 GS350 got the larger front brakes and rotors like that on the IS350 compared to the smaller rotors and calipers on the 06 GS300. But, that is just a guess.
