This is my first post here @ CL... and I just picked up my 08 gs350 smokey granite mica/grey leather with dark gray maple. The dealer told me that this combo is pretty rare, so i just want to confirm with people with some knowledge.

I'd say GFM/opaline pearl/white exterior with black interior is the rarest.

Especially if the wood is dark gray maple. I've seen one such combo.

When my wife and I went to get my GS, they told me that Black Sapphire Pearl with Black Leather was the rarest color.

They offerered me any other color combo, I should have held out to get it..

Well I was told sarcastically yesterday that white with black interior does not exist.

it only doesnt exist when the dealer is a dumba$$ and tells you lies cuz he cant get it!!!! as far as GS's go i was told Starfire White with black interior was the rarest......2nd was Glacier Frost Mica with black interior. i have the latter.

many.....many people have told me they havent ever seen a GFM car with black interior. once again......i feel lucky!!

now SGM with grey interior is rare????? uh?.....ok.

prior to 2008, i can tell you white on black was almost non existent.

that doesnt mean its not rare.....it just means you have a rare car!!!

even in '08 YOUR CAR is almost "non existent!

hehe, as much as I wish that's true about the 2008, but my car was on the boat with 12 other white/black combo, i am sure there are plenty floating around some where

strong demands from dealers made Lexus start producing color in that combo because as I was told, any starfire/black on the lot are sold within few days.

I personally think that Kev's cars color combo might be one of the rarest because i have not seen one around here yet.

I'm looking to buy a used 07 350 RWD Glacier on Black....have not found a single one on the used car market yet!

I agree that Starfire Pearl with Black Interior is the rarest color to find. I have called many dealer and they said they don't have it.

I think the rarest color overall years of the 3GS is indeed Starfire on Black. As for Blk/Blk, my dealer had 2 waiting in the lot if I chose to go in that direction, but I new I either wanted OP/Blk or Star/Blk. The dealer said he would have to order both. There was 1 loaded OP/Blk w/in 500 miles and 2 Star/Blk in the same vacinity.

Apparently, for years, lexus believed that White cars should only have tan or grey interiors, hence the reason my wife never bought an RX 400h all these years.

"rare" is a relative term, as each area builds their vehicle a little differently, the area build changes from month to month, and even the area builds can be different between ports.
