Just put 20's on...
Hi guys,
My 20's were just delivered yesterday and i installed them. The tires are 245/35/20. They look great on the car and its AWD so its ridin on stock height for now. Anyway, I have a small amount of rubbing in the front when I turn all the way. It seems to hit the plastic piece in the front, looks like it might be a splash guard??. Has anyone else had rubbing issues. It really doesn't bother me that much at all since it happens when i cut the wheel hard, but just curious. I'll post the pics in a day or 2, its raining hard in NJ today. I must say though, the 20's with a 245/35 fills in the wheel well better than i expected. I don't mind the look until an AWD spring is released. I had my 04 Grand Prix dropped on 18's and it rode horrible with Eibach springs. Sorry to get off subject. thanks.

Same Issue!!
I just put 20's with the same tire sizes as yours. Mine does the same exact thing, when in reverse and when i turn into my driveway. I decided to take a heat gun to the 2 small spaces that my tires rub. I heated it up, not all the way until it melts but before, then while i could see that the plastic was capable of pushing in, i did. This worked for my application, some people told me that i should have put a 30 series tire on instead of 35, but in the streets of Baltimore, thats not a good idea. these streets around here will kill the rims.
Id like to see the new rims, post some pic's.

I got the Katana Destiny's. Its a 5 spoke, they are pretty similiar to the 18's I had on the Grand Prix. As soon as I get out of work, i'll take some pics and post them. I thought I was the only one ridin stock height on 20's, lol. Nice.

BMORE, Very sic GS. It is nice to see another MDer riding clean!! The color matching is a nice personal touch that I look to do when I finally buy some shoes. How deep is that lip, it looks good.
Mikedozz, you are hurting us with the lack of pics, particularly us fellow AWDers who want a comparison between our stock set ups until a true AWD spring comes out.

Thank you
Its 3.5" lip all the way around with 245/35/20. I like the look and when we finally get the opportunity to add AWD springs to our cars. It will make things so much better.

I get the same rubbing guys! Most noticeable when I reverse out of a parking space. I've performed a visual inspection of the front wheel wells and I can't seem to find out where it's rubbing. It doesn't seem major.
