It's more purple than the Black Sapphire.
Black Opal and Black Sapphire are both available for the LS600hL in Canada, whereas in the U.S., I think the Black Opal replaces the Black Sapphire for the LS600hL.

Is this the color you're looking for? I don't recall it being "Black Opal" but the dealer mentioned it was rare in this color.

That could be it... we can know for sure if you open your driver's door and look at the production label in the door jamb. The first three characters after "C/TR" should be "214" if the color is Black Opal Mica. It looks like the right color from here... do you have any more shots? Maybe some with the sun reflecting off of the car?

Default 2008 GS450h Black Opal owner

Good morning

I am an 2008 GS450h Black Opal owner and yet had no inkling it was rare. I was told the 450h was by special order only - does this infer the color is special order only as well?

Kind regards
Kathy

Got a good day to see the color show on my GSh.

Most of the time in daylight it looks black, and at night it looks deep purple under streetlights

Here's another perspective. Been working on her since October 2021 and have many more plans ahead. So far here's some progress I've made.
Paint Corrected
Waxed (Ceramic on the way)

Rear and Side- Photos taken 7pm

Hood

Lexus/Toyota OEM HID's(Phillips 4300k) aimed at the paint. Excuse the garage mess.

Previous one-owner had little to no knowledge about vehicles/this car and when I found the deal and vehicle history - I had to jump on the sale. She needed a lot of TLC and I've been enjoying every moment working on the car.

After the paint finally shined through, I can definitely say it's one of my favorite things about the car.
