Cool 2 week old NEW GS350 - Scratches under bottom lip of front bumber - No GUARD?

I have been reading this forum for the past couple of days and it has really helped me appreciate my new purchase .... more then ever!

I was curious to know how many of you were dissappointed like me, ever so slightly, when you found minor scratches in the bottom lip of the front bumber while cleaning your GS? I assumed there was a plastic guard or something to protect the finish of the car i.e. the complete front bumber.

I'm not really the clear bra, full bra, leather bra, metal and chains bra kinda guy - a good wax is all I like putting on

I've had SUV's as long as I can remember but I've been especially careful driving this sedan. Thoughts? Feedback on taking precautionary measure?

THANKS!

sooner or later, you are going to stop caring about the scratches on locations you can't see

A detail or body shop might be able to polish most of them out without painting -- really depends on how minor they are and how much it bothers you.

It bothered me when I first got it but now it doesn't really concern me. Just be careful not to go too far up when parking that you scratch the sidewalk or the bumper and go at an angle slowly when there are big dips or driveways.

You can do all that clear bra stuff, but when you run over something or go over a parking block that is too high... its gunna scratch no matter how much clear bra material you have.

The lip on my car makes my car seem like its another inch lower to the ground... that and the 2" drop its already on. I only have a clear bra on the front lip, but just daily driving I have scratched parts of the lip up already.

Like others have said, just get over it. Wait till you get a door ding!

Its going str8 and up a sharp ramp (parking garages) that made me scratch my lip, otherwise I never pull up close to a parking block. i always end up like 1 foot away from the parking block, lol, i guess its from my days of driving a civic when it was really low and I was scratch going over simple speed bumps.

im still lower then you are because of my lip.

I love sports cars with low ground clearance too, but thats the price you pay when you have low ground affects. Maybe you can get a air suspension and jack it up when you enter a parking garage I bet the AWD GS would have clear that ramp fine.
