Wait till winter, those tires will flat spot like crazy and vibrate so badly no matter how much air are in those tires. Thats why I got rid of them in January after 1 horrendous month with them.

Sorry you had bad experience with those. Could have been a number of factors. Did you just returned them back after 30 day replacement guarantee? Surprised you didn't try another pair to make sure your original weren't defective. But than sounds like you are very biased against Bridgestone all together This is my first Bridgestone set, and I always use to get Michelin from wholesale clubs. This one came out pretty cheap directly from Bridgestone store for $166 minus $25 rebate per tire. With a total install of $18 plus $30 road hazard per tire, and additional total $150 lifetime alignment package with free rotation, I thought it was a steal. With RE960A/S I read only positive reviews, got top recommendations (including tirerack and even my dealer), and heard encouraging comments from others who have it on their cars (including AWD Lexus and BMW). I will definitely revisit this post in a few months and give you my farther update.

Yeah, it was a bad experience for such a tire with such great reviews. I am glad you liked it, thats all that matters. I personally would never go with bridgestones after having terrible bridgestone runflats on my SC430, bridgestone tires that wore out after 20,000 miles on my Infiniti QX4 and RX300 and blew out on my Infiniti QX4. But you got a great deal, so its hard to pass it off. I am a loyal of Michelins. I have the Pilot A/S and the ride is so much more involving and smoother and forgiving than the Bridgestone. The Potenzas have a very narrow width and they make the rims stick out a bit more and were harsh on the highways. I would see my passenger seat rock a bit at 80 mph from temperature of 10 degrees up to 55 degrees. Also, my steering wheel would transmit road vibration from roads with grooves and some rough concrete textures of some of the highways. Let me know how they are. Oh by the way, those Bridegstones are AMAZING in the snow though especially up to 9 inches. My Audi A8L sedan, Infiniti G35 Coupe, Mercedes ML350 SUV, and upcoming BMW 335xi all have Michelins since they have the best ride, very quiet, long lasting, hard to beat. So, yes, you can say I a, biased, but for a good reason, to be safe and peace of mind that I get with Michelins. As they say, "a lot is riding on your tires."

I have experienced flat spotting on all Bridegstone tires from my SC430, Acura TL, and the GS in the winter. Never with michelins.

Rexus, can I ask what size wheels were you running? I was considering the same tires for my (soon-to-be) wheels. After reading that I started wondering if the Potenzas excel on a more conservative wheel/wheel fitment and may not be the best choice on something more "agressive"

They were 245/40/18. I would think they are not for aggressive rims but more conservative smaller rims.

Well, after about 500 miles I put in the last week driving through a few days of drenching rain and even one day of snow, I can tell you these are the best tires I ever had. Everything from more confidence in cornering, to comfort of the ride (@34psi) while still being connected to the road, and handling in rain and wet snow - I absolutely love it! No vibration, no flat spotting, from 35 degrees in the morning and through the day when it warms up. Keep in mind that mine are original 225/50-17, so there might be a difference with 18" and the size you [Rexus300] had on yours. For other fellows with run-flats, I would highly recommend these tires to replace your original 17” on AWD

Twister,

Wow, glad to hear that it all worked out for you. Enjoy your car! I am enjoying mines on the Michelins.
