specifically, you flick the device on via a switch and get about 30 secs of nav unlock time. if you haven't completed the input in that time, turn the switch off for a few seconds and then turn it back on. you get another 30 seconds of nav unlock and you pick up the input where you left off. you can do that for as many 30 sec blocks as you need.

Looks like there is a new one in the market. http://cgi.ebay.com/NAVIGATION-OVERR...QQcmdZViewItem

Says that you can control the lockout time to 2min, 3min, 5min, and forever.

Interesting.
The unit is cheaper than that other one and the seller has 100% positive feedback too.

well, maybe. the original unit advertised a 5 minute unlock window. that was true for some model/years. others were limited to 30 secs tho it was not advertised as a limitation for any model/year. so a bit of beware until somebody tries it. the feature on this new one to allow the user to select the time window is definitely a change from the older model which wasn't configurable at all. agree it is a tempting price, too.

Default ebay version

Well, my husband has finally gotten fed up (I was fed up a long time ago, just as Rominl how many questions I've posted about this) -- so other than the Prestigious Society one, are there two others available on ebay or just one other? Which ebay one have people actually installed and used (07GS350)?

to do the address thing i simply use the override button which can be found by pressing menu > volumn > tap top left corner of screen > bottom left > top left > bottom left. then a new screen will pop up and just press and hold down override on the screen til it beeps. then your free to enter in the address while you drive or while your at a light, whatever you choose. once you turn the car off though, you have to do it again.

Is there a way to get them without Ebay? I refuse to do business with Ebay due to their extreme anti gun policy
