Are you putting that resistor in series or parallel?
I don't know.It's a rectagular block with wire out of both ends.
My buddy with the IS is doing the install both cars.
I bought a couple of different size ohm 25 watt resistors.A 4.7,5.1,6.8 and 8.2s to try in our cars.At about $1.75 ea,not expensive.
Thats what I thought, connect the resistor in series. Connecting them in parallel would change the impedance matching which will have less of a effect.
adding a DC resistor in series will for sure lower the volume, but it also alters the speaker's frequency response.

I finally found the sweet spot with the ML sound.
After playing with various settings,I've found the sweet spot with the Treble,Bass,Mid Range and Fader.
Whew!
I feel better.

So what is your setting? Actually, what settings are everyone using? Right now I didn't change anything on mine (DSP off).
