i like the roof spoiler. its a little too conservative. nearly impossible to notice to those who arent "in the know" about the 3GS.
the spiders?.......for some reason, ive never cared for the "BBS Type" or OEM Spider look. to each his own.
keep the mods comin'

Sorry, they will be forthcoming once I remount the spoiler. The double sided tape didn't hold. I have removed all the old tape and residue and bought new 3M super tape. I am jsut waiting for the 3M adhesive promoter to be delivered today. As soon as it is on, I will shoot up some better pics of that and the wheels.

It is the CarsonTuned roof spoiler. They are on closeout right for $209 at www.l-tunedparts.com. Cost another $100 to have it prepped and painted by a body shop near me.

The spoiler came with double sided foam tape on it. However, it was either old or damaged when the spoiler was painted and baked. It could also have been that the window was prepped with denatured alcohol and that was it. Whatever the reason, it did not stick on.
Sooooo........
The old tape was removed and the spoiler was cleaned down to the plastic. Super Strong 3M molding tape was then applied to the spoiler after the surface was prepped with 3M adhesive promoter. The window was washed with dish soap, cleaned with alcohol and then prepped with 3M adhesive promoter. The spoiler was then mounted. Research of 3M tape revealed that the best adhesion is acheived if you apply a constant pressure to the piece being mounted. I covered the spoiler and back edge of the roof with a thick padded blanket (like you see movers use). Then I placed 6 brick pavers (~15 lbs each) on the pad 3 across and 2 up so that most of the pressure was on the spoiler and back of the roof. I left that overnight. It has been on since Tuesday and through three massive downpours and no signs of loosening..........yet.
