As the ventilated fan resides under your front seat cushion, it's important to have cool air running in that area to be "cooling" effective. If you have your a/c vents set at the face only setting, the seat ventilators are less effective.

As for your headlamp washers operating when you work your windshield wipers, that's something you should take in to the Lexus dealer to look at. My windshield wipers work seperately of the headlight washers. The only time the headlight washers work on my car is if I manually press the button to operate them.
ryan, try it out again when your headlights are on at night. i think i did it last time and when the headlights are on and i flip the windshield washers, the headlights washers will come on as well. that has been the design on my sc430 and ls460l too

the button from the drop down manual will manually turn on the headlight washers

Mine work with the drop down switches in the dashboard near the door, I tried it yesterday with the window washer switch and the headlight washer did not activate. But someone mentioned that it would only come on if the lights were on so last night I turned on the lights and washed the windows to see if the lights would wash. The only way the lights get washed on the GS450H is if you push the button in the drop down console

I thing it depends on the model, I had a 2007 RX400H that had a headlight wash switch but nothing woud happen if you pushed the switch with the lights off.

Tested it this morning... headlights on, windshield washer also washes headlights. Headlights off... no headlight wash. Also, the button washes headlights only when they are on (but does not wash windshild).

That's on a 2008.
