The 2008 have the turn signals... I've been trying to figure that out for months now, I am just waiting on the word from my sister.. she works at the Toyota headquarters in Cali...

It can be done.
A few of us on the IS forum put a set of signal mirrors covers we bought on Ebay from Taiwan on our IS's.
I imagine the '08 mirror will fit but you'll have to run a wire to pick up the signal blinking.
I ran a wire and ground from both sides and tapped the signals wire in the wire harness in the underhood fuse box. You'll have toget a wiring diagram to point out the signal wire color.

Here's a pic of my IS with the signal mirrors.

Here's some directions from a guy who did the install.
Unfortuneately he seems to have deleted the pics but info is still there.

I'm not trying to get anyone to buy those mirrors. Those mirrors covers are the exact replacements for an IS.Gs mirrors are different.I know.I have an '08 GS.
I was just trying to tell anyone who is thinking about installing the '08 mirrors on an '07 that you'll need to run an extra wire to a signals source.
It can be done pretty easily if the '08 mirrors fits a '07.

I have 'em on my '08.
Those Lexus mirror assemblies are expensive.Too bad just the signal mirror covers can't be bought separately.

It can be done. The big thing is if the '08 and '07 mirrors are the same fit.
Would be an expensive but very nice mod.

I can't find a GS 350 part but if the mirrors are the same as the GS 450H which I believe they are,the cost is outrageous at $570 each discounted..
Only cost me $230 for both the exact replacement IS mirror covers which screwed on the original base..

trust Joeb427 on this one! He did a great job on his 2IS with the same conversion. Like he said it can be done and makes the car look so much better!

Couldn't have done it without your help,Mike.
A pricey mod on a GS.$1200 for the mirror assemblies(no signal covers available like our IS) and wires has to be run to tap a signal source.

Of the install?
I don't have any but Passnu2 had a bunch but there gone.

As far as the mirror cover...I just looked at my GS and it has the same type mirror as my IS when it comes to having a mirror cover.Three screws and it would be off. It's a shame Lexus doesn't sell just the outer mirror cover.
My RX has a solid mirror assembly with no outer mirror cover.
The Mod would be a lot cheaper with just the cover instead of the whole assembly.

Carson has aftermarket signal mirror covers for GS.

Even if Lexus sells just the 08 mirror cover, it wouldnt fit the 06 and 07 anyways.

It should.
According to Carsons, the cover they sell fits the '06-'08 GS.
