Default 2006 gs 300 awd brake recall?

Has anyone heard of this? My brakes are squeaking and if it is the manufactirers fault I want them to pay for it and fix it. Please advise. Thanks!

These is a TSIB for dustless brake pads. If you complain about break dust then they replace free. I had mine done and a big improvement on brake dust issue.

whoa, lets slow down here.
give us some more information.

1. how many miles on the car and have the brake pads ever been changed before?
2. does it squeak when you apply the brakes or when you are not even stepping on the pedal?
3. has it been doing this from day 1?

The car has 40,000 miles on it and just started doing it. It does it when I am driving at low speeds and when I apply the brake.

40000 miles and you are still on your original pads, wow.

to the original poster:
you are probably hearing the low pad indicators....you need a brake job, it is wear and tear

second issue is that the gs300 did not have a TSB, 06 gs430 and 07 vehicles did, these had larger pads up front...which apparently gave off more dust and thosw who complained about the dust got new pads

I had the same issue on my 07 GS350... When I applied the brake softly at low speeds it would make an annoying grinding/squeaking noise. I took it to the dealership (lexus of Orlando) and complained about squeaky breaks and they changed them free of charge.

I think the new breaks don't stop as good, very slight difference, but they leave way less break dust. After 2 weeks the front rims look like the back rims still... Before, the front rims would be black after 1 day, lol...

Default So what's the verdict with my brake issue

Does Lexus owe me new pads at no cost on my 2006 Lexus gs 300 awd with 40,000 miles or is it my expense? Thanks... just trying to avoid being taken adavantage of.

Brake pads and rotors are not warranty items.

Edit - And another thing, you need to get in there as quickly as possible -- you could easily get into needing to replace the rotors if your wear warning tabs have been squealing at you for some time.
