Still no 2008 Brake TSB, Dealer offers Goodwill!

I called my local dealer to find out about the TSB for the ‘08’s and nothing. They offered to provide me with a pad swap as good will service. I don’t like the idea of goodwill service, cause I feel like I then owe them something. I just wish I could get a set of ceramic pads and do the work in my garage.
Anyway, I was told over the phone that I would pretty much be getting the same pads; I’m going to request part no. 04465-30400.
It doesn’t look promising that the ‘08’s will ever receive at TSB for this due to the dark wheel finishes.

I change to the 04465-30400 pads at 4000 miles. Quite a diff. from the original pads. I went from washing my rims every 3 days to every 2 months. Even at 2 months, the rims are not as dirty as the original pads at 2 weeks. My dealer told me they were the same pads too, believe they are not, the dealer is mis-inform.

at my 1K service I asked to have the pads replaced due to dusting, they did it at no charge and on the invoice referenced a TSIB......
I did mine at Watertown Lexus in MA (same as G-Man, I believe....?)

You guys are lucky. I've asked my dealership twice (once at my 1600 km inspection and 8000 km first complementary oil change) to look at the brakes and check to see if there is a TSB for the brake pads. Both times they said there wasn't (which is true). Even though I complained about brake pad dust, they said they couldn't do anything about it.
Seems like the level of service up here isn't as good as it is down there. People seem to rave about dealers swapping out tires on goodwill, changing brake pads on goodwill, etc, but so far I've got the runaround. Hell, they wouldn't even give me a loaner car when they were checking my brakes/doing my oil change (30 minutes my ***; I was there for 3 hours). </rant>
