Exclamation how to disable VSC?

Lately I've noticed that the Vehicle Stability Control light appears on my dash, especially on cornering. I don't believe I'm driving / cornering at a speed which would warrant the VSC to kick in.

Is there a TSB on this, or is this normal behavior?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

It is impossible to answer the question without sitting in the car. You may not think you are pushing it too hard but the computer may think so. For the VSC to work it must act before you get into trouble. If it doesn't come on untill you are out of control it may be too late.

Well there alot of factors for VSC to kick in!

It may be your tire thread!

It may be your braking points!

Your accelerating points!

Road Surface!

Did you take your spare tire out, less weight in the rear can affect it also, even 40lbs.. lol

but

On my GS350 I never get the VSC unless my car slides a bit or the rear end slides out!

Are your sure its VSC? The VSC will beep but the Trac light flickers and stops power going to the wheels, if your VSC is kicking in that early have the dealer check it to be safe!

Goodluck

P.S

Look at my SIG "NO" VSC or TRAC...lol

to turn off vsc, i heard you need to do a freestyle dance with the pedals and flap like a chicken.

Yep, the infamous pedal dance that started here on CL...

This is a VSC/TRAC disable which was corrected for 2007 by just holding down the TRAC OFF button down for a few seconds.

dont get me started with the damn VSC. I could criticize the lame and insanely over bearing system for days( been there done that). Threshold on the system is set so low that my only guess as to why is that the system was designed for roads that are covered in oil and ice at the same time. The system reacts to quickly.
