Default Leaving the family...

So I am getting rid of the GS350.

Just picked up a 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLS550 with AMG sport pkg, p2, parktronic, and ipod integration. Silver/black leather. Fell in love with the benz.

Thanks for all the tips and advice on the car.

That CLS is one very stylish car . Put some 20's or better yet 22's on, and the car is transformed into a work of art!

Pros/Cons vs the Lexus,

Pros
5.5 liter V8
smooth 7 speed trans
Air suspension w/3 settings
Cool Keyless go start button
Stunning looks
Leather stitched dash
NO RATTLES
Excellent bi-xenon headlights
Nano paint, much better quality
Less brake dust
Can have IPOD and sat radio from the factory

Cons:
Horrible NAV (rarely use the NAV so its ok)
Stereo is lacking compared to Lexus ML system, but better than Lexus stock IMO
no available XM radio
Ventilated seats are not as strong
No rear view camera

I envy your 5.5 Liter engine...lol

The GS350 can beat the CLS 500 but the CLS 550 is a whole new beast from Mercedes!

Just thought someone should mention the $76,000 sticker price compared to the $54,000 sticker price on the GS350. For $20K more you should be able to expect more from your car. Good luck with the Benz and let us know how the reliability stacks up to Lexus.

Thing is CLS is based on the E-class.

Thing is, I love the CLS, one of the few cars that just makes me turn my head everytime. I love that car.

Good pickup Al!!!
