Ok ****, cut me some slack, I'm a newbie and was just looking for an UPDATE from Bozer as he was posting 3 times per day for 3 months on this thread and then it went radio silent over last 2.5 months...assuming no news is good news and squeaking has not come back! (Bozer - inquiring minds want to know)

Hi Webintl,
Did you ever get any resolution to your breaking issue. i just purchased a CPO Lexus and the breaking is not smooth at all. It is also quite a bit of noise coming from the wheel wells.
Looking forward to your response.
reply from you message:
Also i forgot to mention. When i step on my brakes slightly and let go it takes a short while to let go. My mechanic said it seems to be the ABS. I've had that problem from when i first purchased the car, and i always thought it was normal due to the big brakes in the front. It grabs sudden and let go the rotors sudden. It's a very few times that it engages smoothly. I'll check that also.

I have never had an issue until recently. I have noticed over the past 2 -3 weeks that the brakes on my car are making noise when they are cold. As soo as I leave the parking lot after hitting the brakes a few times it stops but it is embarrassing especially when its a Lexus you are driving

Sounds like Lexus was using some abrasive pads on the cars for better braking. This will sometimes cause a squeak/squeal from them. To fix the issue they would just put softer organic material pads on the car which would fix the issue, but might cause braking to not be as good either. Personally on a car like this, I rather have a quiet car over a few feet in braking distance.

I had major issues with squeaking brakes on my 08 GS350 AWD throughout the entirety of the Chicago winter last year. Not only was it extraordinarily annoying and aggravating, it was very embarrassing. I did not pay this kind of money for squeaking brakes. Prior to any official fix from Lexus, my dealership tried a temporary fix, which worked for about 2 days. After many calls to Lexus, during which I was told they were working on a fix, I was contacted by Lexus and told to take my car back to the dealer for the official fix. By then, it was April/May, and it was no longer cold in Chicago, so the brakes weren't squeaking anyway. Now that it has been cold again in Chicago, the fixed brakes have still been squealing the first few times I apply them after starting the car. I am beyond mad and will not tolerate this kind of embarrassment from a Lexus. What recourse do I have? Lemon Law?

Shame on Lexus, millions of dollar spend each year on R&D and they cant design a brake pad. Maybe they should source it to aftermarket pad makers who seem to the right pad material for performance and quietness.

Wow thread still going!
Just wanted to say the sqealing never came back after whatever the last fix was that I posted in this thread.
However, I still have horrible rattles from my dash =(

They fixed my old GS on the 1st try too. I guess there might be more to the squeaking than just pads.

Anyway, I never had a squeak problem with brakes, even when dusty.
