I agree, I had squealing and dust but I changed pads to the low dust ones and now I might have a little squealing backing out of the driveway in the morning because my house is on a hill but besides that, I don't have a problem. Lexus always takes care of me.

Maybe they just suck at my dealership =(

Whatever the case believe me when I tell you I treat the car like I would a baby.. almost never drive it. 6000 miles and I've had it for well over a year

I just called the dealer. LOL they told ME to put anti squeek on the back of the pads.

When they see a green GS 430 block they're driveway tomorrow until the squeeking is completely gone.... They'll know what anti squeek is

Dude let me know if you want to go together maybe next weeekend...

Thats insane they told you to do it yourself. Wtf? Is that not insane? I can't believe this is happening with a Lexus. I remember when Squireels lived inside the hood of my Accord and Honda fixed it all for free. The damn squirells ate wires in there. These guys won't even do anything at all for us. Insane

I just got off the phone with Jennifer at Lexus Corporate. She was very kind and kept apologizing for the squeaky brakes. I had told her that my dealership keeps telling me to wait for the lastest TSIB and i told her that was unacceptable for me. The squeaking is annoying to the point that I do not want to drive my GS. She said unfortunately waiting for the TSIB is the only option. I told her my original stock brake pads didn't squeak, but had tons of dust....that could be an option to go back to those for the time being. She agreed. Bottom line is Lexus Corp. is going to contact the Mgr or GM to discuss a remedy(going back to original pads) for me.

Hopefully I'll get an answer I'm happy with. Never a prob with my Toyotas. Have an awesome dealer that takes care of me 10:1 over my Lexus dealer.

Should receive a call by this Tuesday. I'll post if there's a remedy/band aid until the TSIB comes out.

From what I heard, the TSIB was in the works and was supposed to be released already but they had to go back to the drawing board. I was re-assured it will be released next month, definitely before 2009. Not holding my breath...

Thanks for that informative information Lexwang...

too bad my Lexus sounds like a Pinto when I pull up to a stop light.

First, the brakes.. no matter how much pressure is applied... squeal like a pig. Its horrible. Embarrassing. Should not be happening on a 2007 vehicle.

Second, my dashboard rattling when it gets cold. WTF?

Never buying a Lexus ever again. So disappointing.

There are many many car manufacturer that use high performance brake pads and believe it or not, 99.9% of them dont squeak

Yeah I don't get that argument at all. Are you guys racing in the Indy 500 with your GS's? If I wanted high performance breaking I would have bought a Porsche

I really don't think its just brake pads. This would have been easy to fix and Lexus would issue TSIB with replacement in no time. Its the whole wear'n'tear of interworking parts and your geographic location. How come majority of complains come from East Coast where we over-stress our cars in cold with snow/ice mixed with road salt and other elements of weather... I don't think Lexus engineering accounted for that factor, just like dashboard squeaks in cold weather...

Like I been saying all along, Lexus engineers design the GS on a tropical island somewhere

... or maybe they thought we are going to drive our cars on a weekend during the summer only Mine is 100 mile-a-day beater, and considering over 30k miles I already put in 2 years - I would have been a perfect candidate for stress testing this car in NJ
