i do on the LS

LS600 has 5 LEDS each at 400 lumens each = 2000 lm
standard 4300k HID = 3200 lm

audi is not going to be any better...

The problem with most LEDs is the fact that their ability to render colors. From the pictures, the light output on LS600h seems a bit too blue to do any good. What color you are suppose to see on the road may look different to your eyes. That's the problem with LEDs, and that's one battle I've been trying to fight. Sometimes I give up and go straight to halogen type bulbs. HID is the best compromise right now, giving enough output with a decent CRI. I can see better with 1200lm of halogen than I can with 2000lm of LED (assuming it's ~6000k).

Heat is the biggest problem for LEDs right now. 400lm per LED bulb is not bad, but it's half of what's the potential right now. I have an LED bulb that has a capability of 900lm. It's efficiency is right behind that of HID, but even then, I have a hard time running the bulb for too long. I may just try fitting 5 of them per side for the hell of it

From that article, it sounds like the LED color will shift with heat.

It depends. If the bulb gets too hot, then they'll shift colors until the led fries. On the other hand, withing working parameters, the colors will usually stay constant.

One advantage for LEDs is that you can turn the bulbs on and off without consequences. Try flickering your HIDs on and off multiple times within 10 seconds and you've greatly reduced the life of the bulb. This is why I dont believe in HID flashlights unless you're showing off to a friend of yours.

i had that one on my car for awhile.
it's HORRIBLE!!!
well, the light itself is good and bright,
but because of the foglight housing, it will dim the light to a point that even your corner light is brighter!!
that thing normally cost 49.99 or 39.99
i don't remember, i just know it's NOT worth it
i'm not sure if i still have the pix for it
i'll post it if i find one
