What are your thoughts about WHITE cars - especially the 2008 GS350?

I love white cars. I'm from areas where it gets hot so having a white car (has to be white, not just "light" color), it's a big help.
Never thought white to be feminine. Judging by the popularity of white porsches now that they're available in white (and other supercars), many others don't think white is feminine.
Like a rental car maybe... but not feminine.

I thought PINK was for girls? Where did you hear white is for girls? I think girls tend to gravitate towards blues and silvers, than whites. At my daughter's day care, all care givers are women, not one single one of them drives a white vehicle. Mostly blues, silver, and black. I've had a white Teg GS-R since '92 and never felt it...

A lot of you guys posted exotic cars on this site in white. Exotic cars all look good in white no matter what. GS's look good in white too, but I think you need to put mods on it to make it look sportier. Don't think anyone will look at a white GS and think, "damn, that's so fem". If you had a convertible beetle in white, that's another story.

thanks everybody for your take with this thread. i didn't mean to offend anybody with a white GS. in fact, after going back and forth between the silver vs. white, i ended up signing a contract for the Starfire Pearl....will get delivery later this week. excited!
i agree with stevechoe a lot. if maintenance wasn't an issue, i think the black GS looks best of all the colors when kept VERY clean. silver to me was just a bit plainer...although still awesome. in the end, white stood out a bit more to me vs. silver.
ended up ordering Starfire Pearl with Black interior. will be looking to tint all the windows as well. thinking 35% front, and 15% rear and rear sides. i live in california, so wondering what is a "safe" tint for the fronts.....don't want to get a fix-it ticket, but i definitely want the tint to look more uniform and want SOME form of tint for the front.

well.. personally i think that each color gives its own unique feeling and style
so, it's kinda like arguing big Mac is better than whopper, or other way around.
i think the most important thing is... which color matches u the most?
or represent u the most
big mac is better than whopper? who cares? which burger u like to eat? that matters

wow, so many starfire/black interior now, just last year, this color combo was impossible to find, guess Lexus does read our forums
you should be safe with 35% in the front, i ran it for 7 yrs with no issues with cops, now i am at 23% all around

I like the white a lot. Probably my favorite car color. Wasn't available when I was buying and my wife didn't want white. I don't think the maint. of it is easier than black. Although, perhaps small scratches don't show as much? Some of the experts here would need to comment.... which excludes me.
