What are your thoughts about WHITE cars - especially the 2008 GS350?

agree that starfire/black interior is still hard to find. i'm picking mine up this week, but according to the inventory check for California when i was shopping, there were only 2 available that included ML. they had plenty of smoky granite with gray or black interior and ML.
also, i find the poll listed here pretty representative of what i'm seeing across northern ca bay area. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/pol...ts&pollid=2748
(lots of silver around bay area...at least more than the other colors.)

Like most of you stated, the type/model of the car influence the "feminine" issue moreso than the color. Another good example of a "feminine" car in my opinion is the Honda Del Sol. Some say the Mazda Miata as well but I think to a lesser degree. Colors may play a role, but I think def think white does not equate to feminine. Now if we were talking pink, fushia, lavender or something to that effect, then of course that's totally "feminine". (Of course I am biased as most can probably tell based on what I own)
BTW, my original choice was Starfire & Black but they supposedly weren't building that combo yet.

35% is the limit to how low I'd go. I would say 40, but that's just cuz I don't remember seeing tint come in 35%. I'm used to it going in multiples of 10 until 15%. Anyways, the diff btw 40% and 35% isn't enough to make a real diff, but 30 is low enough where i'd start to feel nervous.
I got sick of tint tickets so I just got 70%. I believe they changed the law so that tint tickets aren't fix-it tickets anymore, altho some counties still allow you to get the ticket signed off.

I just got a Starfire Pearl and kept thinking people would look at it and think it was a girls car. Honestly, I think starfire is classy looking and when was the last time you saw a PIMP wear a black coat? They always wear white!

Same here. That was my first choice since the 3GS came out. Originally it was Crystal White before Starfire replaced it for 07. Special order was key for Starfire/Black but I wasn't about to pay MSRP for the car. 08 was the first year they offered Starfire/Black regularly. It makes me mad that it's now readily available, but oh well.
