I did a search and could not locate a specific thread for this. Sometimes I use the DVD override by hitting the nav button and when done. I completely lose audio signal. I have to physically cut the car off and restart it to gain audio again. Does anyone know why and if there is another way to regain audio without cutting car off then back on. Thanks in advance.

I just installed my override about 3 weeks ago and the loss of audio has happened twice now. My only solution was to cut the car power and restart as well. Before that nothing worked to get the sound back -- I couldn't even get any sound thru the bluetooth speaker from my phone. That was dead as well.

I followed the directions. It was all plug and play. This is not something that happens all the time. But when it does it is annoying. Has anyone else experienced this problem, besides haleakala and myself?

I would recommend you disconnect and replug it again and see if it happens again. Sometimes the connections don't quite fit snugly (even if they are plug and play). Also make sure that the wiring is not bent, or caught in a tight fit between panels. If the symptoms come back, contact the vendor for a replacement. Your other option would be to get a reputable car audio shop in your area to troubleshoot the wiring/connection problem and fix it (or you can do it yourself if you are capable). Good luck.

hi, i'm a new 2008 GS350 owner of 2 weeks and i read all the posts and threads regarding the dvd/nav override kit. is somebody willing to PM me with instructions on how to enable the GS to override nav for 5 minutes? vs. just 30-45 seconds? i was planning on installing the kit this weekend.
i'm just a rookie who has never taken anything apart in a car, so i am pleading for some help in enabling it for a 5 min override. i read iin all the posts that by default, the kit only allows 30-45 sec of nav override time, and that PS sent an email out in Apr-May that explains how to lengthen the time to 5 min. can smebody please help me? =(
