Great for Lexus, but...

A Theory
This is based on problems reported by owners, yes? I wonder if the type people who buy more performance-oriented cars (IS, GS) are more critical of flaws in their vehicle? Even if so, is it enough to make a statistical difference in this report?
Then again, if true, Lexus owners in general would be more critical of issues like "wind noise" and dashboard problems. So, either Lexus is that much better than Mercury, Cadillac and Toyota, or my theory is no good .
Just wondering...

In the 2008 VDS results, Lexus got six segment awards—the most of any nameplate—for the ES 330, GX 470, IS 300, LS 430, LX 470 and SC 430.
The 2GS is included as #2 in the Midsize Premium Car class, it was beaten out by the 4ES for the #1 spot. Still close!

Lexus Fanatic
I had the dreaded dash rattle too. I have a 2006 TL as well and its pretty quiet except my wife will complain that the door panels will rattle with heavy bass. she is a Trance fan so she hits the system in her car pretty hard with the high bpm and the strong bass.
