I am not going to list the differences in our professional arenas, but its different when you doctor roles up in a slammed lexus vs your invest banker/lawyer/business man. I work in the second largest retirement community in the united states, you better believe they expect their doctor to be a little old school.
Self esteem issue or lack of confidence ????? thats really really funny when you are talking about a guy who stands 6'5" and weighs 300lbs, works out regularly , and is a doctor. Thats a good one!!!!

Man I am BIG TIME!!! You are talking to the wrong guy about lack of confidence

Hopefully there will be some camber plates in the near future.
If it's your only car, I would just go for tires earlier than planned, you seem to be passionate about it so go for it.

Thanks man. I think I am

I will probably lower the rear maybe .15-.2" to just eliminate the hint of down angle. I like the attack mode description. Thanks for the kind words.

I dont think you could be more wrong( with all due respect). My professional reputation as a doctor is very very very very very different from the perception of your office mates and business associates. Totally different universe. I would have to say that with me, my professional rep is what makes me my money and gains patients respect and trust You go see a doctor that you heard was the best. You dont go to a doctor because you heard he has a fat house, cars, and a really nice watch.

They dont pay doctors the way they do just because we are smart and went to school for a long time. There is so much more that goes into it, and so much more that is expected. People trust me with their health ( the most valuable thing anyone has),and corporate trusts me with a record setting practice. Not to say I cant have a nice car that shows my individuality , but I wont be driving around on bags, custom stereo system, body kit, and TV's in the head rests. With the position comes a wide respect from all generally( young ,old, cops, teachers, all) so you cant let them down and act like you dont care about their opinion or expectations.( I run into patients all over town) Thats not how it works as a medical professional . So in the future please dont mistake respect for my profession for lack of confidence or self esteem. Thanks

ps I wish I had a line of work were I could wear suits instead of scrubs, and not care what anyone thinks, but the respect, local celebrity status LOL, and gratification make up for it x20. Plus wearing scrubs to work is like going to work in your PJ's ( very comfy). Plus I get more respect , assistance, and looks in my scrubs with DR and my name embroidered on it than if I was wearing a $2000 suit and stepping out of any High end car. Respect, not admiration or envy. Very different from being the cool guy who had a cool car

Common misconception by patients . We evaluate the health of the eye and we diagnose systemic disease( health of your body)all of the time. In the past 6 years I have diagnosed 6 brain tumors alone . Example, if a pt comes in and we dialte the eyes and see bleeding ,like we do a lot, we then neeed to tell the pt they are diabetic and need to see primary care for endocrinology. Another example if a pts eyes show a grayish blue out line on the edge of the cornea it means the pts cholesterol is high and if they are not aware they need to have it checked. Starting to see where the "health " aspect is coming in????

We always check for hypertensive retinopathy, papiladema, high cholesterol, blood sugar problems, MS, neurological problems, HIV, Herpes, and monitor visual integrity for pts on arthritis and malaria med like plaquenil etc, including ocular disease like catarcts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal problems etc. I can even tell which one of your carotids is more plugged up if you are a diabetic just by looking at how the pts bleed. Oh yeah we also get people to see the world around them with glasses and contacts . The list goes on and on and I dont want to bore you. The eyes are actually the windows to your body not your soul. I am what they call a theraputic optometrist which means I am trained to dispense meds like an MD( cant RX prozac and Viagra). I just dont do major ocular surgery. I am trained in foreign body removal, ocular injections, LASIK, glaucoma TX, low vision ( blind pts) and neuro- opthalmology . So I do a hell of alot more than eye galsses and contacts. I am more like an opthalmologist that doesnt do major surgery (IOL's, cornea trasplants, enucleation )than a doc in the box cranking out RX's.( i removed a piece of a nail from a guys eye a couple of days ago).

Also remeber that close to 3/4 of what you learn in your life is done visually. So I monitor the health and integrity of arguably the most important sense that we have as humans. The field is very much tied medically.

I work at at surgical center. Our CEO is a GI , our VP is a General surgeon and our CFO is a pulmonary specialist. The company Ceo drives a modded LS460L with chrome 22's lowenhart and the VP drives a 911 Turbo, CFO drives a AMG SL65 with 20" HREs. Are you saying they have a bad image and reputation. Patients should stay away from them because they drive modded cars???

If you're so worry on how your corporate colleague and patients perceives you.. Maybe you should sell the GS and get a Minivan.. Your colleagues and patients might think you're a good responsible family man!!

Those cars are not modded . They are dressed up dealership style or they are stock. You should know the difference . Those cars are driven by doctors, so they look like doctors cars ( like mine). They arent cars that are sitting on the floor looking like a teenagers dream. See the difference. Maybe you should read a tuner mag so that your CL colleagues might think that you know the difference between modded cars and stock cars with wheels. By looking at the picture in your signature I wouldve assumed you could tell. Nice 2GS by the way. Not trying to be a jerk just replying to your recommendation with another ridiculous recommendation. Can you give a brother a break? I know what I am saying is very clear and obvious, but its more fun to play devils advocate on these forums I guess.

I was thinking of that for HIN, then raise it up to a no tire shredding height after the show. I think rominl has his GS all the way down and he says it still rides pretty well. He is a bit of a lexus guru so I trust his opinion that the ride isnt that bad slammed

LMAO..........

anytime when you add aftermarket parts to your vehicle.. Its considered modded. I hope you understand that. My colleagues did not buy their cars with wheels from factory. They added it on just like you did to your car. I added wheels to my car too. Many people added aftermarket wheels to their car. Are they "DOCTORS CARS"

dude I am not going to back and fourth like a 2 yr old with you. Obviously you get the point since you are now picking anything to argue over. What I meant is that they are conservative, like a doctors car should be. You know what I meant. If you think wheels makes your car a car worth calling modified or tuned you are not a tuner at all and never was. Pick up a tuner magazine for gods sake. Do you see any car with a set of wheels on them only. My optician who makes 10 bucks an hour has wheels on her car. I should set her up for a traction magazine shoot. I am taking to the wrong type of member I guess. Thanks for your input

I'm a Lexus Owner, not a tuner. Rod Millen is a tuner!

LOL stock car with wheels and wants to show at HIN, does that really fit the image of a doctor?

9 years in school playboy. I am smart enough to define modified. You guys are hilarious. I think by looking at your cars you guys also know what modified means in the tuner world. A set of wheels is a" me too" dealership add on more a tuner modification. give me a break guys my mother has wheels on her car lets put her on the cover of modified magazine this month with the D1 champion. And then we will do a 6 pg feature on the stock 911 and a 9 pg spread on the almost unrecognizable mercedes with a set os HRE wheels ,since they are modified. Absolutely hilarious. I think its funny as hell. I thank you guys for the laughs and the discussion.
