Default Bad Economy..Poor sales...Good price for 08 GS 350?

I'm searching for a friend here in Fla for a new 08 GS 350 Nav or Nav/ML pkg.
By phone, Lexus of Orlando and JM Lexus were right at invoice on initial conversation. I have looked at other posts but most seem to be out of Cali and not really the same

I saw a post on July sales down 38% Y over Y for the GS models. Sales must be bad in Florida too...i expected this in cali but not really here. Tax and tag included in out the door price. tax is 7% here in No Fla

1. gs350 rwd NAV..no ML
Retail: $49100
INV: $44,015 or $44,247
OTD: $47,286 or $47,700

2. NAV + ML pkg (sale of $5895 off sticker)
R: $52,358
INV: $46463
OTD: $49,900 or $49,500 + free tinting, mats

these seem to be extremely reasonable in this part of the country...any other thoughts about it? I have no worries in asking for another $500-1000 off but not sure if that is possible. These quotes were right off the bat too w/o hard press

$49 OTD is a steal for a GS350 w/ML& NAV.

yeah, I was thinking the same. I beleive JM Lexus (the largest dealer ever) was the one that said they had 60 GS's on their lot. That seems like a ton

not really a steal.

but the price is right..... about 13% off.

they probably only make a couple hundred bucks on the sale

FLORIDA's 6% sales tax rate makes the price more appealing compare to CA 8.75%. So OTD $49900 is about right IMO.

I have looked at a few GS in Chicago and they are dealing on them here also. I run into my car being an issue also. The demand for a loaded IS350 in the midwest isnt really there. Everyone wants or has the 250 AWD. I am in works with my local dealer on the GS430 and if it works out I will post more info. I actually know someone that sold a base 250 AWD and was given more on trade then what they will allow for me and I am close friends with the owners of the dealer. UGH!

it's pretty pointless to talk about OTD price coz' of tax difference, just talk about the price of the car

if you can get the car for invoice that's a good price now

Good luck,Mike.
Demand for an IS350 is the same everywhere in a snow climate.
I hope that GS430 works out for you.
Looking forward to having another knowledgeable guy like you here on this forum.

You are so right economy sucks right now, when I bought mine 07 GS350 withoout Nav or ML (with std eqip + 18" summer tires) for 46k including TT&L (OTD).

Right now I am looking another GS350 with the same equipment as my 07 GS350, so far the best offer I got is 43.5k OTD (from one of Lexus dealer in CA)!!!

Man... even with price increase for the 08 models, I am still getting 2.5k cheaper when I got mine back in 06!!!

Hopefully the economy with go back up soon, so I can make some $$$ on my hobby (real estates, buy them cheap...sell them high)!!!
