2006 GS 300 with 20" rims w/o lowered?

Before you guys get into a debate, remember this thread is from several months ago. DO we even know if this guy ever bought wheels.
Of course you guys could start a new thread to discuss the pros and cons of lowering an awd car. I'd be interested. I want to know why staggered is a problem for awd and why the vibration from lowering? Can using certain lowering set-ups prevent the vibration? I'm sure some people aren't having vibration. WHat did they do differently?

From what I've read, I would advise he does the opposite. Why would you buy a 50 thousand dollar car which has a selling point of excellent ride quality, then compromise the ride quality with the vibration that will surely follow when lowering an AWD vehicle, not to mention the possibility of other problems occuring?
I've received nothing but compliments on my wheels, and from the pics, you can see it looks fine. There's no excessive gap.

1. stay with the stock height
2. drop it.
if the choice is number two you can always go with a more conservative spring like the tein H tech. Its only .8" drop in front and .65 rear. Its pretty damn close to lexus ride quality. The wheels will change your ride quality more than the tein h tech

It really depends on the tires. I haven't had any change in ride quality with my wheels, or the change was so slight I didn't notice it. Do a search for AWD lowered, or some variation of that. There's a big difference between the vibration and shaking people experienced when lowering AWD than the slight difference you might expect when running a larger rim with a silm tire.
