Hit while parked, is it totaled?
#33
A question you need to be asking is if the at fault person has enough property damage coverage on their policy to cover all the damages for both your GS and for the Mazda. If not, you will have an "underinsured" claim on your policy if you have such coverage. As far as it being a total loss, its possible. Only looking at photos here, it does not appear to be a total loss. But when you add in supplemental (hidden) damages, add in rental costs and depreciation, you may have what is called a "constructive total loss." Just something for you to think about.

DUI or high as the sky! Either way he didn't stick around. I tried getting his license info and he got violent with me. Had no choice but to let him walk away since the cops took a long time to get there. He kept trying to start his car and take off, luckily it wouldn't start!
sorry for the drama. I hope all goes well with the repairs. Take it to a lexus authorized body shop.

Unless that bent the frame or was like around 80% to fair market value, its not totaled. (Also depends on your insurance company)
If it don't get totaled, make sure the shop is Lexus certified. I still have to take mine in for bad fit and finish cause I took it to a repair shop that the insurance company told me to take it to. (It was a Toyota dealership, you would think right?) Never again.

I wouldn't use a Lexus dealer shop.My dealer sends the the vehicle to an outside shop..
I have a friend who has a shop and knows how picky I am.
Even if I didn't know someone in the busines,I'd go with a recommended shop by someone over a Lexus shop..
I'd go only to a Lexus shop if the vehicle is leased and that would be the wife's RX.

None of the Lexus dealers in my area have an in-house body shop (of course, they're all owned by a local Ford dealer). However, the shop they recommend is also recommended by the local BMW and Mercedes dealers. I had some minor work done there as a result of getting rear-ended, and was impressed they fought Geico so I could get a new bumper skin vs. the refinishing Geico's estimator had authorized. It cost Geico an additional $200+.

I dont think its totaled either. I would have beat that dude like a red headed step child. Violent????? This guy would have had to redefine violent if it was me. This kind of stuff really gets me mad. This guy wrecks your car then he tries to get physical when you try to get his info? I would have snapped. you are a better man than me. . You dont ever mess with a mans family, woman, cash, or car. They are all grounds for an insane beating imo.
