Default Kyowa Racing Wheels???

so a girl at work has these rims for sale. $500 staggered 20 inch brand new in the box. Is this a good brand? What do you guys think? I have a black gs and think these would go pretty nice. Let me know what you guys think about this brand and the price.

i wouldn't even want them if they were $200

you get what you pay for, $500 is what you should pay for 2 "tires" and not rims, your life is riding on it, why even consider crap wheels

just a thought.

your life is riding on it?

you make it sound like these are worse than barrels & hubcaps that come on a Yaris

ironically, these wheels probly are worse than wheels/hubcaps that come on the Yaris!!

quality wise.....im sure any factory wheel is better than most no-name wheels out there.

like whlkev said, i too have heard horror stories of aftermarket wheels coming apart or cracking. in a nutshell.....be careful and take your time.

funny thing, only the current IS and GS they went back to donut, previous were all full size

either way, 500 bucks for a set of wheels? i wouldn't touch them with a 10ft pole

lol! alright i'm convinced. I will NOT buy them. I guess it was too good to be true. But the wheels look pretty good in person. They're just not too photogenic. Oh well I'll just have to stay with my TIS wheels

I have to agree that cheap wheels are not the way to go. They will be more of a headache in the end. Id say 3000-3800 for a set of decent wheels would be a minimum. Over that is more the realm of multipiece wheels . I have plently of luck with TSW. Good brand, and they are older than dirt. They were making wheels when I was a kid, and they dont cost an arm and a leg.

Nothing wrong with wheels that are cheap. I would say its about driving style. Some people drive without a care in the world and then when something happens they usually blame it on something other then themselves.

For $500 its dirt cheap, but they tires will end up costing you more then the wheels at the end.

Just to keep things real, I think they are ugly. Clip on chrome lip FTL.
