How to Open Trunk When Car is already Unlocked?

not if you kill the trunk switch in the glove box and lock up the glove box and take your valet key with you
I had a few different BMW's and they all did this if the car was unlocked and you had a key hole in the trunk that would also allow you to lock out the trunk as a safety feature.
Probably better to have as a safety feature IMO and like many have said not hard to grab the key fob or unlock from inside.

The rationale for this just can't be explained. More than likely approved by the same genius that did not include an AUX access for an IPod that in standard on a Camry ! Let's just accept the minor annoyance and move on.
