does anyone know if this will work for the 06models? i checked out l-tunedparts.com and it says its only for 07+ models.

 

There is a generational difference (firmware?) between 06 and 07 head units. Another adapter example, the VIAS units have different operating modes for 06 vs 07+, so it stands to reason that the connections are the same, but they aren't interoperable without accounting for both modes.

 

when we do the I-pod at the dealership, we have an interface mod. to go with the cable.
