Anyone has another suggestion to remove it?

What a sad day.

I can't tell where in Texas you are located. If you are in DFW area, if it hasn't actually gone all the way through the clear-coat, I can probably take care of it for you. Granted, I'm not a professional bodyshop or anything, but I've done a lot of work on my own cars (including wetsanding my 3 month-old Viper). Email me at Malu59RT@aol.com to set something up.

wow sorry to hear that... Haters are everywhere! Take your ride to a good, reputable paint/body shop and have them take a look. What everyone in previous posts are saying is right, if it's through the clearcoat it's too deep... you gotta get it re sprayed. But have a pro look at it to be sure. I wouldn't do it myself!

Thanks for the offer Jason, but I am in Houston. I just picked the car up from Dallas < 2 weeks ago, so I am too lazy to make the boring drive again.

IXI187 - I can't tell how subtle it is since it's probably subjective. I'll check with a local Lexus dealer (Westside Lexus) to see if there's anything they can do. Hopefully, they're opened on Saturday, and won't charge me too much.

Sorry to hear that Kevin. If you don't take care of it soon, and plan to swing by Dallas, let me know and hopefully I can help.

I wouldn't have a dealership bother with it, as most of the time, their make-ready doesn't have a lot of experience. I would suggest you contact a professional detailer. You would be amazed at what a capable detailer can remove. Someone hit my Viper 2 weeks ago, and I was able to remove most of the visible damage. The part that went through the clear is still there, but isn't noticeable.

None of the dealers in my area (Phoenix) have their own body shops. I recommend calling a dealer and asking where their body work is done. Good luck.

Like another poster said...use your fingernail to rub across it...if it catches..or if you can feel the scratch catch, then it will need to be repainted...if not it may be an easy buff out job....possibly even DIY.

Either way, sorry about the damage and good luck.

sucks man. same thing here. got keyed on my blk gs. was so pissed. used my pc and meguiars scrath-x. got most of the lighter key marks out. still have a small key line that went to the primer. if you use the scratch-x be careful on how hard you press the pc.

bottom line for me is karma...i believe in it. so the mf who scratched my ride will get his payback.

I'm jealous you have a GS460 too, but I wouldn't do that.

you might be best off claiming on insurance and having it resprayed. at least the paint should match since it hasn't had time to fade. good luck.

Thanks for all of your concern folks. I buffed it out over the weekend, and was able to remove 50% of it. I tried to get a picture of it, but all showed up in the pic was the reflection of my garage door. I guess it's so shiny now because of the wax, and my inexperience with taking close-ups. But, I think it's at a level now that I can live with.

I am also getting into work earlier now 5:55am, and so I can now sneak into the management parking garage. Hopefully, I am safer there.

Have a good day everyone...
