Default First post & saying hello

Just got my 2006 GS300 yesterday and would like to say hello. This is my 2nd Lexus. First was a 2004 ES330 but had sold it. You guys will be seeing more of me as I am a total noob to this vehicle. And adding to that, my car didn't come with an owner's manual (which will be provided by the dealership that sold me the car).

Here's a couple of pics.

Welcome. That owners manual will give you plenty of reading material. You'll learn more than you ever wanted to know from it. The place to start is the Personal Settings. Enjoy your new ride!

Thanks for all the welcomes & making me feel right at home, guys! Just wondering, is it normal that the ClubLexus site is kinda slow? bimmerforums & jeepforums are pretty quick.

Ok, that's what I am trying to avoid as I have other project cars too. But, where is the best online place to buy mod parts for this Lexus? I'm just looking at a very mild set-up. 18" wheels, rear lip spoiler, ipod connection/mp3 capability, maybe a subtle front lip and side skirts. Can't lower the car as this is the DD and my car for relaxation. No plans for performance mods on the engine as well.

It's a necessity here. Check out the front windshield. That's fully tinted but clear. Protects the dash from UV and heat but ain't gonna break laws (fully tinted front, which is quite common here, will be restricted starting next year in my area).

Haha! Will try to. Garage priorities goes to my softtops first.

That is what I intend to do. I have so many questions.

One of them is:

Sunroof switches - one is for up/down tilting, the other one is for open/close. However, the switch for up/down tilting also opens & closes the sunroof. For the open/close switch, in addition to opening & closing, it also tilts the sunroof up & down. So, basically, both switches serve the same purpose even though they are labelled for specific functions. Is this normal?

2nd question:

I can't seem to put my seating position in memory. Normally with other cars, once the position is set, just press the memory set button, then the memory button (L1/L2/L3 in Lexus terms). But this doesn't seem to work. I still don't have the owner's manual so I don't know if I'm doing this wrong.

3rd:

What is the best ipod integration kit? Peripheral? VAISC?

I'll do more searching before asking more questions. But TIA for any help.
